Both of these beautiful books are in amazing condition for their age. The spine is strong and sturdy, there are no loose pages, there is no writing or ripped pages. There is a slight water stain on the front of the 1 book as seen in the photo. The books measure 5 x 8.
Volume 41 is titled English Poetry, Volume 43 is titled American Historical Documents.
The Harvard Classics became a widely popular set for self-education and cultural literacy in the early 20th century, embodying the idea of a "cultivated person”.
