This specimen combines fragrance and fashion history, making it an invaluable addition to any collection. Perfumer Martin Gras of Dragoco reformulated Shocking, which Schiaparelli-Pikenz repackaged in 1979. This is the 1997 reissue. The bottle has a removable flower bouquet which can be worn as a brooch.
Shocking by Schiaparelli was created by Jean Carles in 1936. The bottle, shaped like a woman’s torso, was designed by surrealist artist Leonor Fini and sculpted from the dress form of actress Mae West.
