Pottery planter circa 1890 with the signature of Montigny Sur Loing with the artist being Charles Virion on one side. The painted decor is a yard of three hens and one rooster. The opposite side is a bouquet of hand painted flowers.
I don't see damage, although a line inside is a raised straw mark. This adorable work of art measures 3 and 1/4 inch tall and 5 and 1/8 inch wide and approximately 2" deep.
