This is a Vibrantly Colored Vintage Majolica Soup Tureen Set with a Lid, Ladle & Underplate.
Hand painted & features floral decorative designs in blues, greens & pinks with Tin glaze.
The Tureen is 3 Quarts with a lid & is often used for soups & stews. It sits on a decorative matching underplate to enhance its stately beauty.
Measurements:
● Platter ....13⅜" x 15.5"
● Tureen.... 14¼" long from handle to handle...x 10¼" W x 5.75"
● Ladle (heavy) 10¾" long
● Lid...10.75" x 9⅞"
Based on the Italy mark on the bottom it was most likely made in the Early 1900s.
This has been stored for a very long time in my Grandmother's China Hutch.
It is In pristine Condition!! There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
