Vintage Red Elf Troll Thomas Dam Norfin Good Luck Troll 9" Denmark 1980's
Troll has been on my shelf since the 1980's so is a little dusty, its red pants are very worn and discolored.
Creator: Thomas Dam, a Danish woodcutter and fisherman, originally carved the first doll from wood as a Christmas gift for his daughter in the late 1950s.
Company: Dam founded his company, Dam Things, in 1959 to produce and market the dolls.
Origin & Design: Inspired by Scandinavian folklore trolls, the dolls were designed to be "so ugly that you couldn't help but laugh" and were considered good luck charms.
These are VINTAGE items. Scratches, flaws, rubs, etc are to be expected. Anything more than that will be noted in the description or shown in the pictures.
